Meet Selena
WELCOME!
I fell in love with yoga at a young age because it made me feel as though I were connecting with something greater than myself. I found myself searching for something… more. What I had discovered later in life is that I was attempting to reach unity within my own existence, or Enlightenment. Having experienced my own Nirvana in 2022, my passion continues to grow.
I am constantly learning, exploring and growing as a human and yogic practices have been the reason I am able to feel whole and navigate this journey called life.
Through practice of mindfulness, strengthening the mind-body communication and connection, you may also find your path to your destination.
This journey is yours. I am just a guide to support you in the right direction.
I hope to meet you where you are in your journey soon.
Namaste,
Selena

HOW NADI YOGA GOT ITS NAME
Nadi derives from the Sanskrit word nad and means “movement.” Nadi also translates to “channel” or “river.” This refers to the network of channels throughout the body in which energy travels; therefore, we best describe it as just that, an energy channel.
In yoga, asanas (poses), breathing exercises (pranayama) and chanting are among the tools used to help circulate the prana (life energy) through the nadis.
They operate like channels, or a delivery system, for the chakras to help clear and manage the physical system and to play a vital role in the rising of kundalini.
Throughout class, we will often work towards clearing these channels to allow room for better things to enter our bodies.
