Hello, everyone!

I’m Selena and I am excited to share my yoga journey with you and help guide you along your path in your own yoga journey. I am a Registered Yoga Teacher with the Yoga Alliance and I am always on the lookout for continuing education to provide my students with the safest, fun and most effective yoga practice possible.

In my classes, there is no judgement or negativity. Everybody, and every body can do yoga - I’m living proof! I work with my students to understand their goals, medical or physical conditions and tailor my classes accordingly. I offer one-on-one classes, group classes, pop-up events and in-studio classes in the Des Moines area. If you don’t see a class on the schedule that works for you, contact me to discuss your availability and we can commit to a day to keep your practice consistent.

To benefit from yoga, I recommend practicing as often as you can. The mental clarity that it provides and the physical benefits will be noticed quickly and as with any journey, you want to keep moving forward to reach your goals! We can start by doing one class a week and see how you feel and build on from there. Practicing yoga takes patience, dedication and an understanding of how your body works. It is important to listen to your body and know when it is not ready for the next step. Give yourself grace through the poses and know that over time, your body will tell you when it is ready for more.
